EcoFot AI Recycling assistance with artificial intelligence

Recycling app for Ireland with photo and AI

EcoFot AI helps you find where your waste should go quickly and easily. Take a photo of the item and get a clear suggestion based on the configured Irish waste system.

Android app developed by AplicacionesHerrbri .

Currently adapted for Ireland: EcoFot AI is configured for the Irish waste system. It is not intended for England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland at this time.
The idea is simple: fewer doubts when recycling, more clarity when deciding. EcoFot AI does not work like a chatbot: it shows a direct and easy-to-understand result.

How it works

Take a photo of the waste

Try to photograph one clear item, centred and with good light.

EcoFot AI analyses the item

The image is sent to an external artificial intelligence service to help identify the waste item.

Get the recommended destination

The app shows whether the item belongs in the recycling bin, glass bin, brown bin, general waste bin, recycling centre, textile bin, return point or another configured destination.

Fast result: EcoFot AI is designed so you can open the app, analyse the waste item and get a clear answer, without complicated screens or long conversations.

An app to know which bin or destination to use

Many recycling doubts come from everyday objects: packaging, cartons, glass jars, cups, cans, bags, small leftovers, broken items or products that do not clearly fit into one bin.

EcoFot AI is designed to help in those situations. It does not simply say “plastic = recycling”. The goal is to guide the result according to the type of waste and the rules configured for the Irish waste system.

Example: a glass jar is not the same as a broken drinking glass. EcoFot AI tries to identify the item so it can give a more suitable suggestion.

Frequently asked questions

Is EcoFot AI an app to know where waste should go?

Yes. The app is designed to help you decide the destination of a waste item using a photo.

Does it work like a chatbot?

No. EcoFot AI is designed to show a direct result: destination, colour and a short explanation.

Does EcoFot AI need Internet?

Yes. EcoFot AI needs an Internet connection to analyse images using external services.

Does the artificial intelligence directly decide the bin?

The artificial intelligence helps identify the item. Then the app applies internal rules to show the configured waste destination.

Yes. This English version is adapted for Ireland and uses Irish waste destinations such as recycling bin, glass bin, brown bin, general waste bin, recycling centre, textile bin, return point and pharmacy / authorized point.

Not at this time. This English version is currently adapted for Ireland. Waste rules can vary in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, so EcoFot AI should not be used there as an official guide.

Can EcoFot AI make mistakes?

Yes. Artificial intelligence can make mistakes, especially if the photo is unclear, there are several objects visible or the waste item cannot be seen well.

What should I do with hazardous or special waste?

If the waste may be hazardous, electrical, medical, chemical or bulky, always check the official instructions from your local authority, recycling centre or authorized collection point.
